The West Sacramento Planning Commission will consider an ordinance to permanently ban medical marijuana dispensaries this Thursday, December 2nd, at 6pm.

Location: CITY HALL, COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 1110 WEST CAPITOL AVE., WEST SACRAMENTO, CA.

Please show up to support patients rights!! The Planning Comission is also considering another option to support a regulatory ordinance, with most of the changes that we've been asking for. Apparently the City Attorney also recommends removing the residency requirement, and the ID card requirement! The 2-dispensary limit would still be part of the ordinance, but a pre-selection process would be included to rank the applicants, rather than a random lottery approach. Overall this is very close to the ordinance we've been asking for, though city staff is recommending an outright ban rather than the regulatory ordinance, so we need to show up and convince the Planning Comission to do the right thing!
