Why when you walk into some dispensaries are you not only ID, have to show your writen referral, but they also call the doctor's office. No doctor is going to give over any information to anyone on the telephone. Do they just need to make sure that the doctor is for real? They can get no information as to if you are a patient or not. There is such a thing as the privacy act. Also my attorney says that you do not need a doctor to write you anything on paper according to law it can be a verbal recommendation. So on a verbal recommendation how does someone get medication? So why the phone calls, and on a Saturday or Sunday? What are you going to get except an answering service.
