SBC & Discrimination

Some of you that have tried to call me lately have likely got a busy signal. The phone line has not been operating for the 2nd half of December, and was out again from Jan 4th-6th.
On January 6th, an SBC service techician named David Jordan came to the apartment to do repairs. This was the 3rd time a tech has had to come out since December. Mr. Jordan's behavior was disturbing. The first thing he said was that if the problem was with my lines, then I would have to pay for it. I told him that I understood that.
He went outside, disconnected my phone and internet service, then came back in and told me that he knew what the problem was. I asked him what needed repairing, and he replied that he would tell me after I signed his work order. He further stated that if I waited longer to sign, it would cost me more. Plus, he also affirmed that if I did not sign, then he would leave both my phone and internet service permanently disabled. While I was reluctant to sign an order for work that was being intentionally kept secret from me, I eventually signed his form.
Mr. Jordan told me that the problem was with my answsering machine cable.
Nerves frazzled from the obvious intimidation attempts, I reached for the bong and the lighter. Mr. Jordan said, "You can't do that while I'm here." I ingored his blather and smoked. Mr. Jordan then promptly left, without reconnecting any of the cables that he had disconnected.
Mr. Jordan's allegation that my answering machine cable is shorted is false. I have personally tested it. I believe that Mr. Jordan lied to me, in order to get me to pay for work that was not my responsibility. :evil:
