Dispensary Asks City to Drop Lawsuit

San Luis Obispo Tribune

The owner of an Atascadero medical marijuana dispensary recently asked a judge to dismiss his lawsuit against the city.
Owner Charles Lynch had sued the city to allow Central Coast Compassionate Caregivers to stay open while officials draft a law governing such businesses. Judge Martin Tangeman denied the request last month.
The City Council could get a look at a draft of the law in April. The business will remain closed until Lynch receives a conditional-use permit.
Lynch and his attorney Louis Koory could not be reached for comment late Monday.
Koory has said that Lynch is exploring options to provide for more than 300 customers who rely on the dispensary for treatment.
