Getting Your Doc to write the recommendation
I found that if you do research on your disease or condition and gather info about what other meds are available - and why you don't want to take them - the doc is much more open to talking about it. Print everything you can find on legitimate research studies to educate the doc. I went to my personal physician of ten years to get my records for the THC clinic - but when I presented everything to her she signed the form right away, no problem. She even made sure to put a copy in my file so I'd be covered. I think docs just need to be educated and informed and the more of us who approach it scientifically the less they can argue with us.
