Hello all medical marijuana activist and supporters,

My name is Linda Jimenez I am the Secretary and Treasurer of Solano Patients' Group. I have been actively working with the group since last year. It has been a great and exciting year for me and for SPG as well. We have been fighting the good fight out here and we are now starting to reap the benefits. Through out the months I have had the pleasure of watching our group develop and grow in numbers. We just recently visited our County Board of Supervisors last week and with the help of Safe Access Now & ASA, the board has decided to put the medical card issue on the Agenda before summer is over. I am hopeful it will be a matter of months before this county will stop arresting patients and start issuing cards for our safety.

When I am not doing activist work, I am a stay at home mom and I also work for a travel agency located in San Mateo County. I am lucky to be able to work from my office at home and take care of my 2 babies (3yrs and 2 yrs) and my 11 yr old. Being able to work at home allows me to manage my own time and spend the time I want doing activist work as well.

I am a native San Franciscan and I was raised in the City of Pacifica. After many years experience working in accounting departments, in 1998 I opened my own accounting business and maintained it for 6 yrs successfully. In 2003, when i gave birth to my daughter, I closed my business and we moved to Orange County and when she was 6 months old I decided to get a part time job so I sought out a position with Walt Disney Company. I was then hired as a part time travel agent for the Walt Disney Travel Company. After a year of being homesick, I came back to the Bay Area and I have been residing in Fairfield since.

I am excited and look forward to more activist work and helping other people/patients' who need support and help. I have met many wonderful people through the work we do out here and I am inspired by those folks who stand strong and endure the fight we face in this tough county we live in. I look forward to meeting many more people as I believe that supporting each other in California is key to the safety of all medical marijuana patients.
