I took the time to mail my congressman Mr. Doolittle urging him to support the Henchey-Rorabacher ammendment.
I recieved a letter back from him I would like to post can anyone tell me how. it has become increasingly clear to me that our representatives are not representing us.
Well I may be niave but he is our representative isnt he supposed to pass on the will of the voters to the federal goverment?
since the voters of this state overwhelmingly passed prop 215 shouldn't he be conveying the feelings of the voters of his state
to the federal government. he appears to have an agenda of his own which indicates to me he has lost the concept of public servant as im sure all our representatives have.
Well I did send a reply letter informing him of his duties as I see it.Am I wrong or not is it our representatives duty to pass on the will of the voters to the federal government or not?
I also informed him that the very same FDA he quotes as being responsible for placing marijuana on the schdeule one with Heroin etc has approved for use various arthritus pain relievers that have caused heart problems and even some deaths of users of these prescription pain relievers so the FDA has made mistakes in the past.This issue has finally pissed me off enough to get more active I am changing my party from republican to anything but the two major parties since they are both so out of touch with the will of the public.
So in a way I guess I've gone full circle from being very liberal in my younger years to very conservative to who knows maybe i'm a greenie now i'm not sure yet I guess im a work in progress.
