LAPD officers have been closing medical cannabis collectives and cooperatives in the North Hollywood area. The officers have used dubious code violations and intimidation to close at least two collectives and threaten one that was to have opened this week.

The North Hollywood Neighborhood Council will be discussing the collectives at its meeting on Wednesday, August 9. LAPD officers may be trying to use this elected body to generate opposition to medical cannabis in the community and bolster their case. We must have patients and loved ones there to defend safe access. Please come show your support and help prevent collective closures in LA.
