Fairfield Police Ticket Drivers for Supporting MMJ Rally

Before the Solano County Board of Supervisors meeting this morning, the Solano Patients Group held a rally outside to raise awareness and support for the ID card issue. As cars drove by, the drivers showed their support by honking and waving, as is normal for such rallies. But after a few minutes, the Fairfield Police Department stationed a squad car wait nearby, and began to pull over and ticket some drivers who honked in support.

Of course there were too many supporters for the one squad car to pull over, but they did manage to ticket F. Aaron Smith, who was on his way to the Board of Supervisors meeting to speak on the ID Card issue. Aaron then contacted the local media, to let them know about the incident.

One has to wonder if the Fairfield Police Department also issues tickets to supporters of the many 'support out troops" rallies as well...
