I was just wondering if there are people with PTSD out there

Yeah I have had this disorder for almost 10 years now. It all started when I was working and suffered an injury, I still deal with alot of pain and migrains headaches which then have a tendency to put me in real bad ass moods. Now I have found that Cannibas helps me a great deal. No more perscriptions drugs now. Since I got out of jail , I have obtained my recomendation and, I what I need to self medicated, and I bother no one, and no bothers me. I live out in the wilderness with my family and that is just fine with me. Good luck with your issues, Yours in heart, Pineaple

Medical Marijuana ID Cards

My husband, a Disabled Viet Nam Combat Vet, has PTSD. His condition is severe enough that he requires several medications to ensure a modecom of quality in his life. He uses marijuana as an adjunct to his other medications. Does it work? YES!. And although his symptoms are 95 % controlable, if he misses just one of his medications, he falls victim to his nightmares, reliving the war.

Like many Vet Nam Combat Vets, my husband gave a great deal of his life, (his soul, heart, and intelligence, among many things), so our government could get the oil rights. Just like what's happening in IRAQI now.

I find it very interesting, and highly insulting that a drug that works to minimize my husband's PTSD experiences is illegal on the federal level, and still illegal in many states. I frequently wonder why alcohol and smoking aren't treated as is marijuana? The biggest reason is the pharmaceutical companies. They don't want anything available to victims of any horrendous emotional trauma that they can't make a 200% profit.

Marijuana can be grown fairly easily in one's own yard. It has less side effects, and in many instances, it actually helps with many different types of illnesses.

For the so-called religious right wanting to prosecute our Vets for using a medication that litterally allows them to have some quality in their lives, and affords them the ability to participate in our society as productive citizens.

Marijuana is less harmfull to a person's body then alcohol. Alcohol destroys cells; in particular brain cells. Granted marijuana gives a person a high, but isn't that what alcohol does, too?

In all my years of nursing, I do not remember caring for a patient because of the effects of marijuana on the body. Whereas, I cared for enumerous patients with advanced alcoholic related diseases.

I disagree with the ID card. If a person doesn't have a card for alcohol use or tobacco use, two very deadly substances, then why does the use of marijuana?
