Dear medical marijuana supporter, Next Tuesday, August 14, the Yuba County Board of Supervisors will be formally receiving SAN's writtenrequest to schedule a hearing on the implementation ofthe medical marijuana ID program.

Currently, the YubaCounty Department of Public Health has no plans toimplement the state mandated program without directionfrom the Board of Supervisors. In order to protectYuba's medical marijuana patients and move the countyinto compliance with state law, the board must grantour request to place the ID program on a future agendaand then direct staff to move forward with theprogram.

If you live in Yuba County, please call the board at(530) 749-7510 to urge them to support implementationof the medical marijuana ID card program in YubaCounty (tell the operator the city you live in and askthem to direct you to your supervisor).

In addition to calling the board members, it's crucialthat patients and supporters of the attend and speakat next week's meeting in Marysville. With your help,we can compel Yuba County's leaders to do the rightthing and vote to protect patients from arrest. Please contact me if you are able to attend thisimportant meeting or if you have any questions aboutour activities in Yuba County.
